I may cry, COME ON ENGLAND!!
06.14.04 (5:32 pm)   [edit]
I am seriously near tears... its passionate, its the passion, its the love of the game.. its got a hold of me.. I gotta say this.. Beckham, you played a hell of a game, Gerrard, you to ... you play for England for a reason.. no human is perfect, mistakes happen and luck doesn't always fall our way... We Are Human it is ok to show emotion. We still got'em ... next game boys, next fucking game!

David Beckham consoles Steven Gerrard. Both players have taken responsibility for England's defeat against France.

Deep in injury time on Sunday night, Gerrard underhit a back pass toward goalkeeper David James. French striker Thierry Henry ran onto it and was tripped as he rounded James and earned France a penalty. Zinedine Zidane converted the spot kick.

"I didn't see Thierry and I gave a bad pass, but these things happen," Gerrard said.

"I can promise the fans I will make up for it and I'm glad it happened in the first game and so I have a chance to do that. We're not out of the tournament.

"Hopefully I have only cost us one game and I will bounce back. We are all rallying round each other because we all win together and we all lose together."

It's just a game. There will be another. I enjoy sports while the game is on, but when it's over, it's over.

Do you believe if you don't watch it, that they'll lose b/c they won't have your psychic support?

See that's where the convo ends.... I support Newcastle United and in turn like nearly 90% of the nation have a burning hatred for all things Manchester... especially "United"...
